Mindful attention to the body and breathing is used as the foundation for cultivating awareness and insight into the deeper nature of our body and mental process. Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and also mindful bending and stretching exercises will aid in cultivating a continuity of awareness of the present moment. The goal of mindfullness/insight practice is to become aware of our intentions which precede activity of body, speech, and thought in order to transform harmful habits.
This retreat is suitable for beginners as well as experienced meditators. Clear instructions on the practice will be given and a daily Dharma talk with Questions ans Answers and a chance for a personal interview.

Due to manastic lifestyle no meal will be served after midday. 

Bhante Rahula was born in California and ordained as a Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka in 1975. He lived there ten years studying and practicing mindfulnes/vipassana meditation with different teachers and living alone in secluded hermitages. His teaching integrates the practice of yoga with insight meditation. He lived und taught at the Bhavana Society in West Virginia.
