"Give children a chance to smile!"
For many years now the Buddha-Haus has been supporting the
humanitarian project in Ladakh, founded by Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena
in 1986. In this northernmost province of India, high in the
Himalaya, it is difficult for many parents in these remote
areas to provide a good education for their children or to
have access to health care.
Through the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC),
it has become possible for needy children from Ladakh to receive
a comprehensive schooling. Based on our own experiences and
through periodical visits to Ladakh, in addition to close
contact with all the staff of Mahabodhi, we can assure that
the donations are used conscientiously. You can especially
aid needy children from Ladakh through sponsoring a child's
education so that skills can be acquired for leading a self-determined
life. Of course you will receive a receipt showing your donations
for tax purposes.
